Job summary

Securitas is seeking a Techincal Specialist to provide onsite security system support in Redwood City, CA. You will diagnose and repair access control, CCTV, intercoms, and related devices, and coordinate with internal teams and vendors when escalations are needed.

You will document service actions, maintain logs, monitor tickets, and ensure timely resolutions while minimizing disruption during maintenance and repairs. Strong troubleshooting and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with physical security systems including access control, CCTV, intercoms, and related devices.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with hands-on repair ability.
• Basic understanding of networking and system integrations.
• Ability to perform minor hardware repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous documentation.
• Effective communication and coordination with stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the onsite point of contact for security system issues.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot card readers, access panels, turnstiles, CCTV, intercoms and integrated devices.
• Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance (hardware adjustments, system resets, firmware updates support).
• Monitor and review incoming service tickets and determine onsite vs escalation.
• Escalate complex issues to internal teams or vendors as needed.
• Track issues to resolution and maintain complete service logs and outcomes.
