Consumers Energy in Grayling, Michigan, is seeking a contract Scanning Technician to convert paper records into high‑resolution digital formats on site.

You will prepare documents, operate high-speed scanners, index files, perform quality checks, and assist with basic equipment maintenance while handling confidential material.

Strong attention to detail, ability to sit or stand for long periods, and familiarity with Microsoft Office are preferred.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and move boxes up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with scanning equipment is a plus.

• Document Preparation: Sorts physical files, removes staples, and arranges pages chronologically.
• Scanning & Digitization: Operates high-speed scanners to convert records into digital images.
• Indexing & Data Entry: Names, categorizes, and tags digital files for storage on a network drive.
• Quality Control: Checks scanned images for clarity and orientation; rescans if needed.
