Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. is seeking a Safety Specialist - Energy to support project safety efforts on-site or in the office in California. The role focuses on maintaining an Incident and Injury Free Culture and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations.

A strong emphasis is placed on coaching, training, and improvements across project teams. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, OSHA 30, CPR/FA certification, 0-2 years of safety experience, and a valid

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• OSHA 30 Construction required; CPR/FA certification preferred.
• STS and STSC certification preferred, along with other safety certifications.
• 0-2 years of construction safety experience; electrical safety experience preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating safety programs through daily field walks and log observations.
• Support corrective action plans to address safety issues on projects.
• Provide feedback to leadership on safety improvements and recognition.
• Coach employees on safe behaviors and acknowledge safe practices.
• Assist with job-site safety orientations and basic training (HazCom, Fall Protection, LOTO).
• Support incident investigations and facilitation of injury/illness cases.
