Job summary

Cupertino Electric is seeking a Safety Specialist - Energy to support project teams in maintaining an Incident and Injury Free Culture. The role focuses on regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local safety rules and developing the Project Safety Roadmap.

You will work with Safety leadership to coach workers, participate in safety orientations, and contribute to daily safety meetings across on-site and office environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• OSHA 30 Construction certification required.
• CPR/First Aid certification; trainer preferred.
• STS/STSC certifications preferred, other safety certs desired.
• 0–2 years of construction safety experience; electrical safety preferred.
• Valid state driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating safety program effectiveness via daily field walks and log observations.
• Support project-specific corrective action plans to address safety concerns.
• Provide feedback to Safety leadership on safety improvements and recognition.
• Assist with coaching on unsafe behaviors and recognizing safe practices.
• Assist with job site safety orientations for new hires.
• Assist with basic safety training and tests (HazCom, Fall Protection, Lockout/Tag-out).
• Support incident investigations and injury/illness case facilitation.
• Raise potential compliance risks to Safety leadership.
• Attend daily safety meetings and evaluate participation and effectiveness.
