Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Risk Control consultant to provide account knowledge on hazards, controls, and management. You'll evaluate how a company identifies and manages inherent risk factors and differentiate high-exposure accounts.

You will work with larger, more complex, all-lines accounts and report to the Risk Control Field Director or Managing Risk Control Consultant. The role requires five years of experience in safety/risk control, a valid driver's license, and state-specific

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or graduate degree in EH&S, engineering, construction management, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of the insurance industry and business acumen.
• Certifications such as ASP, CSP, ARM, CFPS.
• Technical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Experience working in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a consistent field presence, on-site with customers 20%–50% of the time.
• Collaborate with Underwriting to select, retain, and grow a profitable book of business.
• Write risk assessment reports with clear recommendations.
• Perform risk assessments for moderate to high complex accounts.
• Identify uncontrolled exposures and advise mitigation actions.
