Travelers is seeking a Risk Control Consultant to support large, complex accounts with a focus on hazards, controls, and risk management. The role collaborates with underwriting, claims, and risk control specialists to differentiate accounts and drive loss control strategies.

The position requires a Bachelor’s or graduate degree in EH&S or related fields, five years of experience in safety or risk control, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel 20–50% onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in EH&S, engineering, construction management or related fields.
• Five years of experience in safety, risk control/management, or related field.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet state-specific certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a field presence with 20%–50% onsite travel to customer sites.
• Partner with Underwriting to select, retain, and grow a profitable book of business.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with Underwriting, Claim, Risk Control Specialists, and Brokers.
• Complete risk assessments for moderate to high complex accounts with significant exposures.
• Write technically detailed risk assessment reports with clear recommendations.
• Identify exposures and drive risk reduction actions with clients.
• Provide risk mitigation solutions using Travelers resources and stay current on regulations.
• Create a valued customer experience through every assessment and service encounter.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
