Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking a Risk Control professional to provide account knowledge related to hazards, controls, and management. You will evaluate how clients identify and manage inherent risk factors and differentiate the account from others in similar classes of business.

This role requires a strong field presence with 20%–50% on-site time, travel to customer sites, and collaboration with Underwriting, Claims, Risk Control Specialists, and Brokers to service a unified book of

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in environmental health and safety, engineering, construction management, basic sciences and related technical fields.
• Strong knowledge of insurance industry and business acumen.
• Recognized relevant certifications (ASP, CSP, ARM, CFPS).
• Technical aptitude, detail oriented.
• Superior communication skills - both written and verbal.
• Ability to quickly establish credibility and rapport with all others.
• Experience working in a collaborative environment.
• Critical thinking skills.
• Influencing skills that effectively drive business needs.
• Negotiating change to achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a consistent field presence with 20%–50% on-site visits.
• Partner with Underwriting to select, retain, and grow profitable business.
• Build relationships with Underwriting, Claims, Risk Control Specialists, and Brokers.
• Perform risk assessments for complex accounts with potential for severe losses.
• Write detailed risk assessment reports with actionable recommendations.
• Identify uncontrolled exposures and suggest corrective actions.
• Provide risk mitigation solutions using Travelers' resources.
• Stay current on technical subjects, regulations and emerging issues.
• Create a valued customer experience at every assessment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
