Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a permanent on-site IT support specialist based in Addison, TX to provide both in-person and remote support for a major client. You will use ConnectWise, assist with VPN and Active Directory tasks, and occasionally travel to client sites for hands-on troubleshooting.

The role involves documenting work, performing server troubleshooting, and coordinating with third-party vendors. Certifications like A+, Network+, and Security+ are preferred or required within six months.

Qualifications

• A+ certification required (or able to obtain in first 6 months).
• Network+ and Security+ certification preferred.
• Great personality and effective communication are key; must be trainable and grow in this role.
• Due to remote elements, must be independent and capable of taking charge.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person and remote support to a major Alliance customer; use ConnectWise to field calls.
• Handle VPN, Active Directory, DHCP/DNS, and server troubleshooting.
• Travel to client sites for hands-on support as needed and meet with clients onsite.
• Document thoroughly and follow up on service orders.
• Assist with SQL tasks and coordinate with 3rd party vendors.
