Avnet in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an onsite desktop support specialist to assist end users on physical, virtual and mobile platforms. You will install and configure technologies and applications and provide support for printers and scanners, collaborating with other teams to restore service.

The role requires strong problem-solving, ticketing discipline, and the ability to interface with vendors. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is expected with 3+ years in IT support and hands-on

Qualifications

• Provides onsite and remote desktop support to end users on physical, virtual and mobile platforms.
• Installs and configures technologies and applications on supported OSs.
• Supports peripherals and collaborates with other teams to restore service.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-user requests for hardware and software for supported clients.
• Troubleshoot computing problems and provide end-user support for ticket resolution.
• Update and close tickets; escalate as needed.
• Track and maintain site documentation and configurations.
• Complete special assignments and project work as needed.
• Contribute to desktop/laptop software evaluations and upgrades.
• Interface with third party vendors to resolve hardware/software issues.
