Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker in Elyria, OH seeks an Engineer Maintenance & Reliability for the Engineered Fasteners team. This on-site role focuses on reliability, uptime, and continuous improvement of manufacturing assets.

You will analyze failures, implement corrective actions, and develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs while collaborating with cross-functional teams and adhering to safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in maintenance engineering, reliability engineering, or manufacturing engineering in an industrial environment.
• Experience with CMMS, preventive maintenance, and root cause analysis required.
• Experience in cold heading, metal forming, fastener manufacturing, machining, or similar high-volume manufacturing preferred.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and automated systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Improve reliability and uptime of cold heading equipment and supporting plant assets.
• Analyze equipment failures and downtime trends to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Develop, optimize, and sustain preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Support troubleshooting of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and controls-related issues.
• Maintain accurate asset and maintenance data in the CMMS.
• Track and report key reliability metrics, including uptime, MTBF, and MTTR.
• Support spare parts strategy and maintenance planning effectiveness.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement, OEE, and equipment performance initiatives.
• Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and new equipment implementation.
• Ensure compliance with plant safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
