Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Manager in Sedalia, MO to lead the onsite maintenance and Tool & Die teams. You will drive safety, implement predictive and preventive maintenance, improve OEE, manage budgets, recruit and mentor technicians, and coordinate with external service providers.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical or electrical engineering degree, 7–10 years in industrial maintenance with 2–3 years in supervision, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance with 2–3 years in supervision/management.
• Thorough knowledge of PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC systems.
• Self-starter, results‑oriented and team‑oriented.
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities; able to handle ambiguity.
• CMMS/ERP proficiency; relevant certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary guardian of workplace safety by enforcing OSHA, EPA, and regulatory standards.
• Develop and implement proactive maintenance plans; shift culture to predictive and preventive maintenance.
• Maximize OEE and minimize downtime by troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and robotic systems.
• Recruit, train, and mentor maintenance technicians and supervisors; manage shifts and evaluations.
• Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget; forecast parts, labor, and CAPEX.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with external service providers; maintain spare parts inventory.
• Use CMMS/ERP to track work orders, asset history, and KPIs.
