Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift in Elyria, OH. You will assemble, repair, and overhaul machines, diagnose minor electrical issues, and perform various bench and machining operations, while upholding strict tolerances and safety standards.

The role requires standing for most of an 8–10 hour day, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional carpentry tasks. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; prior assembly and power tool experience is

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior assembly experience preferred.
Prior experience with hand tools and power tools preferred.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment requiring standing/walking for majority of an 8–10 hour day.
Bend, lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 200 pounds, use hand tools up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

Assemble, disassemble, repair, rebuild, or overhaul machines in shop.
Rebuild or install parts in machine components.
Diagnose and remedy minor electrical trouble.
Perform bench and machining operations on various parts.
Maintain close tolerances and operate shop equipment (lathes, grinders, milling machines).
Transport hazardous material within company property.
Adhere to preventive maintenance schedule.
Maintain high quality in work performed.
May perform simple carpentry and painting work.
