Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Elyria, OH facility on 2nd shift (3pm-11pm). The role offers a starting hourly rate of $38.02 plus a $1.25 shift differential totaling $39.27 per hour.

You will be responsible for assembling, repairing, and maintaining machines, performing bench and machining operations, and ensuring safety and quality standards on a fast-paced shop floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior assembly experience is preferred.
• Prior experience with hand tools and power tools is preferred.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment standing and walking for majority of an 8–10 hour day.
• Bend, lift up to 50 pounds; push/pull up to 200 pounds; use hand tools up to 20 pounds for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to assemble, disassemble, repair, rebuild, or overhaul any machine in shop.
• Rebuild, repair or install parts in machine components.
• Diagnose and remedy minor electrical trouble.
• Perform bench and machining operations on various parts.
• Hold close tolerance.
• Operate lathes, grinders, milling machines and other machine shop equipment.
• Transport hazardous material within company property.
• Adhere to preventive maintenance schedule.
• Maintain high quality on work performed.
• May perform simple carpentry and painting work.
