Job summary

ABB seeks an experienced field service professional to work on-site at customer sites in Wisconsin. You will identify opportunities to improve operations, perform field service tasks, and troubleshoot ABB Quality Control Systems (QCS) while ensuring materials and equipment are ready for service.

You will also train field staff and customers as needed, travel up to 25% for training and site support, and maintain quality and safety standards in line with ABB guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field with 5+ years electrical/electronics or process control experience required, or HS diploma/GED with 7+ years related experience.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and troubleshoot electrical systems up to 240 VAC/870 VDC.
• Basic understanding of the paper making process and process controls is a plus.
• Travel up to 25% may be required for training and site support.
• Candidates must already have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

• On-site with the customer to identify opportunities to improve operations and reduce pain points, focusing on ABB Quality Control Systems (QCS).
• Perform field service tasks, diagnose issues, and troubleshoot systems in service categories and products they are certified for.
• Prepare material lists and ensure availability of parts and equipment.
• Serve as trainer for field service staff and customers when needed.
