Job summary

ABB is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform on-site service work, including installation, commissioning, maintenance and upgrades for critical power equipment across client sites in the US. You will identify improvements, troubleshoot on-site issues, and ensure quality and safety standards while building strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities include mentoring technicians, preparing material lists, and communicating project timelines.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing critical power equipment or equivalents.
• Strong written and verbal communication across organization levels.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; strong MS Project/Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on-site with customers to identify operational improvements.
• Perform field service tasks and on-site troubleshooting within certified areas.
• Execute installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs and upgrades.
• Coach and supervise technicians; train team members and customers as needed.
• Prepare material lists and ensure quality standards for parts and equipment.
• Build relationships and identify potential new sales opportunities.
• Suggest improvements to operations and customer service; ensure safety compliance.
