Job summary

ABB is seeking a Field Engineer to execute service work on ABB pulp and paper quality control products. You will collaborate with customers on-site to identify improvement opportunities, perform field service tasks, and prepare material lists to ensure timely availability of parts and equipment.

The role emphasizes hands-on problem solving, safe usage of electrical test equipment, and potential training duties for other field personnel. On-site work in Vicksburg, MS is required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in field relating to instrumentation & control, electrical engineering technology, electronics, instrumentation or process control.
• Candidates must be comfortable using electrical test equipment such as voltmeters or multi-meters safely.
• Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
• Candidates should be comfortable using basic hand tools.
• Must already have work authorization to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• On-site customer interaction to identify opportunities to improve operations and eliminate pain points.
• Perform field service tasks and analysis in service categories and products they are certified for.
• Prepare material lists and ensure availability of required parts and equipment.
• Serve as trainer for field service associates and customers when needed.
