Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds and amenities meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, performing preventive maintenance, making-ready tasks for vacant units, inventory management, and documentation. The role requires safety compliance and occasional travel to assist other properties.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant recycling certification.
• State and Local jurisdictions certifications as required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies and codes.
• Execute the make-ready process for vacant apartments including inspections, punch lists, scheduling, and material coordination.
• Access and obtain materials and tools, manage inventory, and notify supervisor for reorders.
• Document service requests accurately to ensure traceability and reporting.
• Help maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform cleaning, painting, and minor repairs as needed.
• Support cost-control by repairing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.
• Attend safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA and safety-related laws.
• Periodically inspect contractor work to verify quality and compliance.
• Conduct routine property inspections to identify safety and maintenance needs.
• Assist in maintaining property safety and reporting concerns to management.
