Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform essential maintenance, repairs, and make-ready tasks across a property. You will diagnose issues, complete work orders, and ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met in all common areas and units.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, inventory management, and documentation. The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications, state/local licenses, and a valid driver's license for onsite vehicle use.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling are required.
• State and Local jurisdiction certifications as required for all service technicians.
• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies, safety standards, and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant homes for leasing, including pre-move-out inspection, punch list, scheduling vendors, obtaining materials, and inspecting work.
• Tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies the maintenance supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Documents service requests timely and accurately for tracking and reporting.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, pressure-washing, and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing parts rather than replacing them and using tools and materials wisely.
