Job summary

Greystar is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to uphold the physical condition of our properties. You will diagnose defects, perform repairs, and complete work orders to meet safety and code standards.

Responsibilities include preparing vacants for leasing, managing inventory, supporting grounds maintenance, and participating in on-call rotations. A valid driver’s license and EPA refrigerant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigeration certifications required or applicable to service technicians.
• Valid driver's license required to operate property vehicles as needed.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance per policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments, including inspection, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and ensuring quality.
• Tracks inventory and re-orders supplies by coordinating with the maintenance supervisor.
• Documents service requests accurately to enable proper tracking and reporting.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities through cleaning, painting, and general upkeep.
• Supports cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.

Education

EPA refrigerant certification (Type 1/II or Universal)

Valid driver's license
