Job summary

Greystar is seeking a maintenance technician to support building upkeep, resident requests, and make-ready preparations across a multifamily community in Denver. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure safety compliance while delivering quality service to residents.

The role involves coordinating with vendors, maintaining tools and inventory, and contributing to budget goals. A valid driver’s license and EPA HVAC certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Knowledge of safe tool use and maintenance.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to problems.
• Proficient in customer service and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively for internal/external contacts.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair issues from resident service requests following policies and safety standards.
• Manage make-ready process for vacant apartments, inspect, schedule vendors, and ensure readiness for leasing.
• Set standards for cleanliness and appearance of community grounds and units to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work by staff and contractors to ensure quality and adherence to specs.
• Monitor inventory and assist Community Manager with budget and supplies.
• Perform monthly preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in manuals.
• Assist in budget development for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing when feasible.
• Conduct safety meetings and ensure OSHA and MSDS compliance.
• Provide respectful customer service and address resident questions and complaints.
