Job summary

Capital Square Living is seeking an Assistant Service (Maintenance) Manager to oversee maintenance work, manage resident service requests, and ensure the community meets high standards of cleanliness, safety, and appearance.

You will assist in make-ready, inspections, and coordinating vendors while maintaining cost controls and delivering great resident service. Onsite at properties, with a team-focused environment and opportunities to improve property operations.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED plus related experience/trainings.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to diagnose problems.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills for residents and team.
• Proficiency with internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Ability to operate basic office machines and manage documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist Service Manager with delegating and completing work orders and preventative maintenance.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units and coordinate vendors and materials.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform cleaning and minor repairs as needed.
• Inspect and verify contractor work meets quality standards and safety requirements.
• Monitor inventory of spare parts, order supplies, and support cost-control efforts.
