Job summary

Capital Square Living seeks an Assistant Service Manager to oversee technical and mechanical work, ensuring buildings and grounds meet CS Living’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality.

You will assist in maintenance tasks, prepare vacant units for leasing, and supervise grounds upkeep while delivering strong resident service and managing costs through preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring devices.
• Ability to apply logical thinking to diagnose and fix problems.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with basic office software for records and reporting.
• Ability to operate common office machines and perform basic math for admin tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist Service Manager by diagnosing problems and completing work orders and preventive maintenance.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units, schedule vendors, and ensure units are ready for leasing.
• Maintain grounds and common areas, assist with cleaning, painting, and curb/signage work as needed.
• Conduct property inspections to identify safety risks and ensure quality standards.
• Monitor contractor work to ensure quality, scope, and budget compliance.
• Maintain inventory, coordinate supplies, and support cost-saving initiatives.
