Job summary

RPM Living is seeking a Community Manager to oversee all operations at an apartment community. The role demands strong resident relations, effective communication, decisive leadership, and a collaborative, professional team player capable of managing staff, budgets, and leasing strategies.

The successful candidate will lead leasing, training, budgeting, and reporting while ensuring exceptional resident service and adherence to company standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or 1-2 years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and experience
• 3+ years of related multi-family property management experience
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Team player, professional, and effective communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software

Responsibilities

• Leads property staff, conducts interviews, onboarding, training, timesheet approval, and assessments per company policy
• Drive team to meet performance indicators and manage disciplinary actions with HR
• Conduct ongoing training with office staff on leasing, safety, and daily operations
• Motivate associates through recognition programs and team-building activities
• Assist in budget preparation and ensure adherence to budgets
• Prepare month-end and year-end financial reporting and variance analysis within +/-10%
• Promote resident satisfaction by addressing complaints and service requests
• Collaborate with maintenance to ensure prompt service request completion
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain high resident service standards
• Analyze market trends and work with marketing on leasing strategies to hit occupancy goals
• Follow eviction procedures and assist with court representations as needed
• Manage client/owner relationships with regular updates and property tours
