Job summary

IES, a national provider of industrial products and infrastructure services, seeks an Associate Project Manager to lead small/medium projects on-site. You will recruit staff, manage profitability, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with customers to meet delivery goals.

Strong leadership, telecom/installation background, and HR oversight are essential. Responsibilities include budgeting, invoicing, timesheets, and closeout packages, with travel within branch/region.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years supervisory or managerial experience.
• Minimum 3 years as Lead Communications Technician or similar.
• Minimum 5 years in telecommunications or related field.
• Proficient with a computer and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise project staff and handle HR matters.
• Act as senior liaison for customer interface.
• Plan, monitor, and maintain project profitability.
• Ensure deadlines meet customer requirements.
• Manage workload, staffing, and progress toward delivery.
• Review job costs, invoices, and financial reporting.
• Complete project paperwork and closeout packages.
• Perform quality checks and prevent outages.
• Attend meetings on-site with customers.
• Lead operations meetings and training sessions.
• Manage tools and truck inventory/maintenance.
• Perform other assigned responsibilities.
