Job summary
Compucom Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Technician to provide onsite technical support across multiple states.
The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining laser and wide-format printers, kiosks, and POS systems, with strong emphasis on customer service and clear communication. The technician will install and configure hardware/software, perform routine maintenance, and keep accurate service records while collaborating with senior technicians as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience or familiarity with Epson print systems.
- Experience repairing laser and wide-format printers.
- Electromechanical experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of printers, PC hardware and software.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently or in a team.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve issues with printers, plotters, kiosks and POS systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software.
- Perform routine maintenance to optimize equipment performance.
- Provide clear technical assistance to customers onsite and by phone.
- Maintain accurate service records and uphold quality standards.
