Job summary

Abacus Group, LLC is seeking an HR Specialist/HR Generalist to join a lean, three-person HR and Operations team in Tampa, FL. The role supports day-to-day HR functions across U.S. and international offices, with a hands-on approach to the full employee lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will be organized, proactive, and comfortable owning responsibilities in a fast-paced environment, handling onboarding, benefits, payroll coordination, and HR compliance across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3–6 years HR Generalist/Specialist experience.
• Experience in financial services preferred.
• Hands-on ADP experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of onboarding, benefits, HRIS, and HR operations.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple offices and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Manage onboarding and offboarding across all offices, including documentation, background checks, system setup, and employee transitions.
• Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, and annual open enrollment.
• Maintain accurate employee records in ADP and coordinate payroll updates, compensation changes, and deductions.
• Serve as a contact for employee inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, HR policies, and general HR matters.
• Prepare offer letters, employment agreements, employee communications, and other HR documentation.
• Support employee relations, performance management, and annual review processes.
• Assist with recruiting, interview coordination, and new hire activities as needed.
• Support HR compliance, policy development, and consistent HR practices across domestic and international offices.
• Prepare HR reports, track headcount, and maintain accurate personnel files and employee data.
• Partner with Head of HR & Operations on HR initiatives, process improvements, and special projects.
