Job summary

People Care Inc is a fifty-year-old licensed home care agency serving patients across the five boroughs, Nassau and Suffolk. The People Operations Generalist is the administrative engine of the People Department: the everyday paperwork, trackers, shared mailboxes, directory, the orientation room and every new hire’s first week run through this seat.

The department’s day-to-day administrative work has no single owner; this seat is that owner. This is an execution seat.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in an administrative, HR or coordination role in a busy office.
• Strong organization and ability to manage trackers, deadlines and multiple priorities.
• High level of discretion with confidential information.
• Accuracy under volume and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and Excel.
• Ability to learn PayPro, applicant tracking systems and other HR technology quickly.
• Strong follow-through and ability to bring projects and tasks to completion.

Responsibilities

• Prepare agendas and numbers for the department’s standing meetings and maintain department action logs.
• Track department paperwork awaiting sign-off, including requisitions, offers, approvals and notices.
• Handle shared office tasks, including room bookings, meeting links, filing and scanning.
• Prepare weekly payroll-change verification and department reports.
• Run new-hire paperwork end to end and manage PayPro onboarding checklists to completion.
• Ensure administrative new hires are ready on day one, including credentials, computer access, acknowledgements and scheduled check-ins.
• Manage offboarding checklists and track access removal.
• Maintain the employee directory, extension list, org chart, policy library and new-hire contact sheet.
