Job summary

Vast, based in Long Beach, CA, seeks a People Operations Generalist to support the employee lifecycle, onboarding, offboarding, HRIS data maintenance, and daily People Operations activities.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and provide cross-functional coverage as the team grows. This is a full-time role reporting to the Senior Manager, People Operations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in People Operations or HR.
• Strong communication and discretion handling confidential information.
• Experience with HRIS systems; Rippling preferred.
• Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for routine employee questions.
• Manage onboarding logistics and new-hire processes.
• Support separations, offboarding, and documentation.
• Process employee data changes in HRIS.
• Maintain SOPs, trackers and assist with team initiatives.
