Job summary

InBody is seeking an HR Generalist to run daily HR operations across talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits administration and policy development in a hybrid Cerritos, CA office. This role touches all aspects of the employee experience and requires ownership, prioritization in a fast-moving environment, and a visible impact on how people experience the company.

The position reports to the Sr. HR Manager and involves handling payroll, HRIS (BambooHR), ATS (JazzHR), and performance tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• 3+ years as an HR generalist or similar role.
• Ability to handle confidential information with tact and diplomacy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience administering ATS, HRIS, LMS, and payroll-related duties.
• Knowledge of multi-state employment laws (including CA).
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiar with job sites like LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, and Indeed.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of payroll processing and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws.
• Manage HRIS, benefits, payroll (BambooHR), ATS (JazzHR), and performance management (15Five).
• Maintain accurate people records and charts, ensuring data integrity across HR systems.
• Cross-train on benefits and payroll and provide backup coverage for biweekly payroll.
• Support recruitment efforts, screen talent, and coordinate onboarding and interviewing.
• Lead onboarding journey including I-9 verification, orientation, and probationary reviews.
• Support visa/immigration processes and coordinate with counsel; track case status.
• Work with vendors on compliance reporting (AAP and VETS-4212) and manage leave (FMLA and state leaves).
• Serve as primary point of contact for employee inquiries and help resolve workplace conflicts.
• Plan and execute company events to strengthen connections in a hybrid work environment.
