Job summary

Culbertson Resources Inc. is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations for a growing manufacturing workforce in the Pearland/Rosharon area. This hands-on role handles multi-state and union payroll in a high-volume environment, ensuring accurate processing and compliance.

You will administer ADP Workforce Now, coordinate with HR and Finance, support audits, and continually refine payroll processes to support company growth with strict confidentiality and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing or overseeing payroll operations.
• Experience processing multi-state payroll for 400+ employees.
• Direct experience with union payroll and union pay rules.
• Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now.
• Knowledge of payroll tax requirements and wage and hour regulations.
• Ability to handle confidential information with excellent detail.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Onsite work five days a week in the Rosharon area.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll processing for 400+ employees across multiple states.
• Manage union payroll with accurate wage rates, deductions, and benefits.
• Administer payroll using ADP Workforce Now.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
• Review payroll records, reconciliations, deductions, and withholdings for accuracy.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
• Maintain payroll records and protect confidential information.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, and other teams on payroll changes.
• Support payroll audits, controls, and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and efficiency.
• Help develop payroll procedures to accommodate growth.
