Job summary

Culbertson Resources Inc. is seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations for a growing manufacturing workforce in the Pearland/Rosharon area. This hands-on role handles multi-state and union payroll in a high-volume environment, ensuring accurate processing and compliance.

You will administer ADP Workforce Now, coordinate with HR and Finance, support audits, and continually refine payroll processes to support company growth with strict confidentiality and attention to detail.

• Onsite work five days a week in the Rosharon area.

Position Overview

Step into an exciting opportunity with a growing company seeking a Payroll Manager to oversee payroll operations and support its expanding workforce for our client, a manufacturing company. This role is ideal for a hands-on payroll professional with experience managing multi-state and union payroll in a complex, high-volume environment.

The Payroll Manager will help ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, maintain compliance with applicable payroll regulations and union agreements, and support efficient payroll processes as the company continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll processing for a workforce of 400+ employees across multiple states.
• Manage union payroll, ensuring accurate application of union wage rates, deductions, benefits, and other applicable agreement provisions.
• Administer payroll using ADP Workforce Now, including reviewing payroll data, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate processing.
• Ensure payroll practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, tax requirements, and reporting obligations.
• Review payroll records, reconciliations, deductions, tax withholdings, and other payroll-related transactions for accuracy.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, employee inquiries, and complex pay issues.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation while protecting confidential employee information.
• Coordinate with Human Resources, Finance, and other internal teams on payroll changes, employee status updates, and payroll reporting.
• Support payroll audits, internal controls, and required reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, strengthen controls, and increase efficiency.
• Help develop and refine payroll procedures to accommodate continued company growth.

• Ability to work onsite five days a week in the Rosharon area.
