Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–3 years’ experience in medical coding, medical billing, eligibility (hospital or government) or other pertinent medical experience.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Screen on-site patients for eligibility assistance programs.
• Identify patients for state, county, or federal programs.
• Initiate the application process at bedside when possible.
• Document results in the hospital system and tracking tools.
• Conduct outside field work including patient home visits.
• Maintain confidentiality and log referrals daily.
