Job summary

Firstsource Solutions USA, LLC is seeking a Patient Financial Advocate to screen patients on-site at a hospital in Louisville, KY for eligibility assistance programs, guiding bedside or ER assessments and initiating applications. Responsibilities include documenting results, maintaining on-site tracking, and coordinating with hospital staff.

The role requires a High School Diploma and 1–3 years of medical coding/billing or related experience, with basic computer skills and a customer-service

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 - 3 years' experience of medical coding, medical billing, eligibility (hospital or government) or other pertinent medical experience is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Must have basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Screen self-pay patients for eligibility at the hospital.
• Initiate enrollment applications with appropriate agencies.
• Document patient information on the in-house screening sheet.
• Record screening results in the onsite tracking tool.
• Provide information to client contacts and report progress.
• Occasionally conduct field work including patient home visits.
