Job summary

Optum in San Bernardino, CA is seeking a Patient Access Supervisor to coordinate and supervise central registration activities. This full-time onsite role supports the department during a Monday–Friday 11:00 AM–07:00 PM shift with occasional overtime and on-call duties.

You will oversee staff, approve PTO, monitor attendance, and produce operational reports while collaborating with other departments to ensure timely patient access and accurate registration.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years in a hospital patient registration, physician office, or healthcare insurer setting.
• 2+ years in healthcare supervision/leadership or team lead roles.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to work full-time onsite at 1805 Medical Center Dr, San Bernardino, CA 92411.
• Schedule Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–07:00 PM with on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous phone coverage and liaise with after-hours service.
• Approve PTO requests for staff under supervision.
• Monitor attendance and performance with audits and coaching.
• Conduct quarterly 1:1 meetings with staff.
• Set daily team priorities to meet timelines and guidelines.
• Produce reports for non-clinical tasks as needed.
• Identify and resolve operational problems using defined processes.
• Collaborate with other departments as needed.
