Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking an entry-level Patient Access Associate for Covenant-St Joseph Healthcare in Bangor, ME. This on-site role offers a starting hourly wage with opportunities for paid certifications and tuition reimbursement.

You will handle patient check-ins, verify insurance, collect information, explain consent forms, and support POS collections with a focus on accuracy and compassionate service. Minimum education is a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• CRCR certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Pre-register patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Assist with POS collections and explain payment responsibilities.
• Process orders, verify medical necessity and compliance checks.
• Provide excellent customer service with compassionate communication.
• Explain consent forms and distribute required patient education documents.
• Review insurance eligibility and enter benefit data into the system.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software and inform Medicare patients.
• Distribute and document designated forms and pamphlets.
