Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to join our onsite team at Covenant - St Joseph Hospital in Nashua, NH. This entry-level role focuses on admitting patients, verifying demographics and insurance, and ensuring a smooth patient experience at the point of service.

You will handle MRN assignments, eligibility checks, and patient education while maintaining compliance and quality service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
• Willingness to learn and adapt, including AI-enabled processes.
• CRCR certification required within 6 months (company paid)

Responsibilities

• Staff are responsible for MRN assignment, eligibility checks, proper patient instructions, collecting insurance information, and processing orders with excellent customer service.
• Operate the hospital switchboard to relay calls and manage communications.
• Pre-register patient accounts and collect demographic and insurance information including financial liabilities.
• Explain consent forms and distribute patient education documents to patients and guarantors.
• Review insurance eligibility in verification systems and support POS and billing processes.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software and distribute required forms.
