Ensemble in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Patient Access Specialist for an on-site role. The position pays $17.00-$18.15/hour, with bonuses, tuition reimbursement, and paid certifications.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of customer service experience and a High School Diploma/GED, with CRCR certification within 6 months. You will perform admitting duties for all hospital patients, verify insurance, collect demographics, assist with pre-registration, explain consent forms, and support POS and billing

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• CRCR Certification within 6 months of hire.
• High School Diploma/GED required.

Responsibilities

• Perform admitting duties for all patients admitted for services at the hospital, in line with mission, goals, and regulatory compliance.
• Assign MRNs, complete medical necessity/compliance checks, collect insurance info, process physician orders, and provide excellent customer service as measured by Press Ganey.
• Operate the telephone switchboard to relay calls and maintain compassionate customer service while adhering to policies.
• Use quality auditing and reporting systems to correct accounts and provide data to leadership.
• Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits, collecting demographics, insurance, and payment details including POS collections.
• Explain general consent for treatment forms and obtain signatures.
• Distribute patient education materials such as Medicare/Tricare notices and forms.
• Review eligibility responses and enter benefit data to support POS and billing processes.
• Screen medical necessity using ABN software and distribute ABN forms as appropriate.
