Ensemble Health Partners is seeking a Patient Access Specialist to perform admitting duties for patients at Mercy - Urbana Hospital in Urbana, OH. This entry-level role pays $17.00–$18.15/hour based on experience and is on-site, part-time (24 hours across two days, 7a-7p) with every-other-Saturday rotation.

Responsibilities include patient pre-registration, insurance verification, and providing clear patient instructions while maintaining exceptional service standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to AI-driven process improvements.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Handle admitting duties for patients admitted for services at the hospital.
• Perform pre-registration and collect demographic and insurance information.
• Explain and obtain signatures on consent forms and distribute patient education documents.
• Verify insurance and medical necessity using systems to support POS and billing.
• Provide excellent customer service as measured by Press Ganey.
