Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is hiring a Patient Access Specialist for Mercy - The Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. This on-site, part-time role runs 11am–7:30pm on weekends and holidays, with responsibilities including admissions, insurance collection, and patient communication throughout the POS workflow.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year of customer service experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and be prepared to pursue CRCR within 6 months.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes.
• High School Diploma/GED required.
• CRCR certification within 6 months of hire (Company Paid).

Responsibilities

• Assign MRNs and perform medical necessity/compliance checks.
• Handle telephone switchboard and relay calls.
• Provide patient instructions and collect insurance information.
• Process physician orders and assist with POS and billing.
• Conduct pre-registration of patient accounts and collect demographic and insurance data.
• Explain consent forms and distribute educational documents to patients.
