Responsibilities

• Registers patients presenting for visits and explains the registration process.
• Processes co-payments, co-insurance, deductibles and balances due; safeguards cash and reconciles cash drawer.
• Completes Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire and adjusts coverage as needed.
• Instructs patients and handles consent forms and other required documents.
• Counsels patients regarding non-covered services and ABNs; maintains confidentiality and security.
