Qualifications

• 2+ years in a patient-facing healthcare function or customer service preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written English; bilingual a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and multiple electronic systems.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and complete full registration for patients requesting appointments with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Initiate pre-registration and ensure demographic/insurance information is up to date.
• Verify insurance, benefits, and referral information.
• Obtain legal ID and insurance cards; verify patient identity prior to services.
• Adhere to HIPAA standards related to patient privacy.
• Ensure smooth patient flow through the clinical care process.
• Provide information on appointments, parking, and payment policies.
• Offer upfront financial counseling and discuss payment plans with patients.
• Collect funds according to guidelines and explain financial obligations.
• Act as liaison for patients, physicians, and staff to resolve issues.
