Job summary

Prism Vision Group’s NJRetina Ridgewood office is seeking a Patient Service Representative to handle inbound/outbound patient interactions, scheduling, and scheduling logistics onsite. The role includes registration, insurance verification, and financial counseling at check-in.

The PSR will use multiple electronic systems, assist with revenue cycle tasks and support a fast-paced clinic environment while maintaining HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in patient-facing healthcare or customer service preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication; bilingual a plus.
• Able to verify demographics, insurance information and assist with billing and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and complete patient registrations for appointments.
• Initiate pre-registration and verify demographics and insurance information.
• Explain policies, payment options and provide upfront financial counseling at check-in.
• Act as liaison for patients, physicians and staff to facilitate care.
