Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• 2+ years in patient-facing healthcare or similar.
• Excellent verbal and written English.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and complete registration for patients requesting appointments with attention to policies and accuracy.
• Initiate pre-registration and verify demographics and insurance information.
• Verify benefits and insurance referral information.
• Obtain ID and insurance cards and confirm patient identity prior to services.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and confidentiality.
• Ensure smooth patient flow through the clinical care process.
• Provide appointment and payment policy information to patients.
• Offer upfront financial counseling and discuss payment plans.
• Collect funds according to guidelines and advise on financial obligations.
• Act as liaison for patients, physicians, and staff to resolve issues.
• Notify relevant parties about appointments, referrals, and prior authorizations.
• Train other PSRs and deliver excellent customer service.
• Follow company policies and standards.
