Pediatrix Medical Group is hiring an on-site Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform infant hearing screens in hospital facilities, including Patewood Memorial. Training is provided, with annual American Academy of Audiology certification to support early detection and intervention.

Responsibilities include screening readiness assessment, data collection, parental education, and timely reporting. The role emphasizes patient care, safety, and collaboration with hospital staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays required.
• Entry level with 1–3 months of newborn experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hearing screens in hospital settings and educate parents on screening significance.
• Evaluate patient readiness before performing a screen (fed, quiet, calm).
• Collect data/demographics and document results for each baby.
• Perform screens efficiently while maintaining quality and patient education.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed and refer babies; schedule outpatient follow-ups if needed.
