Job summary

Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, is hiring a Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize our network infrastructure onsite in El Segundo, CA. You will lead security, reliability, and scalability efforts while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating across teams.

The role requires hands-on experience with complex networks, multi-vendor environments, and DoD 8570 IAT 2 certification or higher. US citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience or equivalent.
• Experience with multi-vendor switching/routing (Juniper, Cisco, Dell).
• Experience with QoS and routing/switching protocols.
• Experience with Palo Alto next-gen firewalls.
• Experience deploying VPNs (IPsec, SSL VPN, Azure ExpressRoute).
• Experience with Palo Alto Panorama.
• IAT Level 2 certification per DoD 8570 (8140).
• CCNA or higher certification.
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure).

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and implement scalable, secure network architectures.
• Manage network security including firewalls and IDS/IPS.
• Lead deployment of routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers.
• Ensure resilience with disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Develop and maintain network diagrams, configurations, and policies.
