Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Security Engineer (Embedded & Networking) to join our Information Security team in an on-site capacity in El Segundo, CA. The role focuses on securing the company’s networks, systems, and data, including identity services, network security, and cloud policy enforcement.

The engineer will design and implement scalable security solutions, work with cross-functional teams, and maintain SME-level documentation on security technologies and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a STEM discipline or 2+ years of security software development experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with Python, Go, C#, C/C++, or Rust.
• Experience designing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or large-scale infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain technology solutions that provide security for company systems, networks, and data.
• Develop and manage authentication and identity services, including MFA and access controls.
• Build automation and scripts to support information security across the company.
• Implement network security controls and backend infrastructure for security services.
• Oversee cloud security policy enforcement and centralized configuration management.
• Serve as SME for security solutions and document/advise on underlying technologies.
• Collaborate with security, IT, legal, software and other teams to identify threats and strengthen tooling.
• Create scalable, repeatable, secure solutions.
