Job summary

GE Vernova in Greenville, SC seeks a Modal Test Engineer to coordinate and execute product development testing in the Greenville Technology Lab. The role is 100% on-site, covering Shaker Table, Ping, and Laser Doppler Velocimetry (LDV) testing from fixture design through test execution and post-test reporting.

The candidate will define test campaigns, interpret customer requirements, and develop instrumentation while ensuring ISO compliance and a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in modal testing or structural design/analysis.

Responsibilities

• Execute laboratory testing, data acquisition, and reporting for gas turbine products.
• Design and procure test fixtures for hardware testing.
• Define and interpret customer requirements to design testing campaigns.
• Ensure ISO compliance and maintain a safe work environment.
• Lead testing campaigns and report results to customers; supervise junior staff.
