Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Test Engineer to lead hands-on validation testing at the Greenville Technology Lab, interfacing with Design Engineering and Instrumentation teams. The role is 100% on-site, requiring collaboration with internal and external customers and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates will have a mechanical/aerospace engineering background with 6+ years in validation testing or gas turbine operations and strong documentation and program execution skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related Engineering / Science from an accredited college or university.
• At least 6 years of experience in validation testing, gas turbine design, or process facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Integrate engineering requirements with Design Engineering, Facilities and Instrumentation Engineering, and Data Systems Engineering in design, development, and test execution to prove out component and system functionality and reliability.
• Provide technical assistance to Assembly and Instrumentation personnel. Author technical documents that define actions needed to execute per customer requirements.
• Oversee every aspect of test build, execution, and posttest reporting/billing.
• Responsible for operational compliance with ISO requirements.
• Responsible for full compliance with GE and regulatory EHS policies.
• Maintain a safe work environment with a goal of “zero” injuries.
• Work directly with customers both internal and external to GE Vernova.
• Develop and implement process improvements that align with our LEAN tools.
• This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology.
