Job summary

Hoffman Construction is seeking an MEP Project Engineer to join our Construction Department in Boise, ID. You will work closely with design professionals, clients, and subcontractors to resolve complex coordination issues on site.

The role focuses on coordinating MEP elements, managing submittals and RFIs, conducting field surveys, and training client personnel in operations and maintenance of systems. High attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Windows and Office 365; strong MS Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point and Teams basics.
• Experience with project management software such as Prolog, Procore, E-Builder, Bluebeam, MS Project and Primavera P6.
• Experience with design software AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks.
• Training in design/construction document reading and CSI specification systems.
• Ability to organize technical data clearly and work with CSI specs.

Responsibilities

• Interface between area managers and subcontractors to resolve field coordination items.
• Lead meetings with managers, design team, subs, and clients.
• Interpret drawings and quantify materials for construction.
• Coordinate all MEP elements within the project design.
• Facilitate training for client personnel on MEP operations and maintenance.
• Review submittals and coordinate multiple submittals for accuracy.
• Generate and manage RFIs and change documents.
• Perform field survey layout of control lines and benchmarks.
• Serve as on-site technical advisor.
• Coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP interfaces.
