Job summary

Hoffman Construction Company in Boise, Idaho is seeking an MEP Project Engineer to coordinate multiple trades, interpret design and construction documents, and resolve field coordination issues on complex projects.

This onsite role reports to the Project Superintendent and MEP Project Manager, interfaces with design professionals, clients and subcontractors, and aims to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office 365 with basic network understanding.
• Experience with project management software such as Prolog, Procore, E-Builder, Bluebeam, MS Project, and Primavera P6.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks.
• Training in design and construction document reading and CSI specs.
• Strong ability to organize technical data and understand construction aspects.

Responsibilities

• Interface between area managers and subcontractors to resolve field coordination items.
• Run meetings with area managers, design team, subcontractors, and client representatives.
• Interpret design/construction documents and quantify materials for construction.
• Coordinate all MEP elements within the overall project design.
• Organize and facilitate client personnel training on MEP operations.
• Review submittals and coordinate across multiple submittals for accuracy and functionality.
• Generate and manage RFIs and change documents.
• Field survey layout of control lines and benchmarks.
• Serve as technical advisor on-site in the field office.
• Coordinate architectural, structural, and MEP systems within the project design.
